About This Site
The Kadoorie Centre Website
We are the official web site of The Kadoorie Centre for Critical Care Research and Education. Content is maintained by the staff of The Kadoorie Centre while the site is designed and produced by the OHISS Web Development Team of Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust. The purpose of this site is to provide information on the facilities available at the Kadoorie Centre and on how these facilities may be booked.
Accessibility
In the interests of accessibility this site adheres to the web standards set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The purpose of web standards is to make sites accessible to all visitors, regardless of any disability they might have, or technology they are using.
In order to make our content as accessible as possible we use Cascading Style Sheets to seperate content and presentation. This means that while our pages may not look the same to all our visitors, we can achieve our aim of making the content itself available to everyone, independent of browser, computing platform and disabilty.
Cascading Style Sheets
Most recent browser versions are CSS and standards compliant, however some older browser versions are not and will display the pages differently to newer browsers, or in a text only format. To avoid these issues you could upgrade to a more recent, compliant version of your chosen browser.

The image on the left shows a page from a similar site in standards compliant Netscape 7.1, the second image shows the same page in non-compliant Netscape Communicator 4.77, it's not pretty, but all the information is there. The third image is a non-compliant site, in a non-compliant browser, the visitor is instructed to upgrade and no content is displayed making the site completely unusable.
