Accessibility Tools for Adobe PDF Documents

Adobe have developed a number of ways to make PDF (Portable Document Format) files accessible to those using screen readers. For more information visit their Acrobat Accessibility page.

Adobe PDF Files

Some documents on our site may be in Adobe Portable Document Format to enable them to viewed on the widest range of platforms possible. To open these documents, you will need to have Adobe Reader installed on your computer, this is free software for viewing and printing Adobe PDF documents.

ZIP Files

Some files may be compressed or "zipped" into ZIP files - usually where a document is very large or there are many bundled together and it is easier than downloading each individually. Modern releases of Windows contain built in software for decompressing archives, however not all users will have one.

InfoZip, is completely free and available on almost all versions of Unix, VMS, OS/2, Windows 9x/NT/etc. (a.k.a. Win32), Windows 3.x, Windows CE, MS-DOS, AmigaDOS, Atari TOS, Acorn RISC OS, BeOS and Mac OS. In addition, graphical frontends are available for Windows and Mac OS
